After a lot of iterations, losing focus, stopping, starting again, and honestly wondering whether I should even continue with the project, I’m finally launching it. Introducing Churchfolio.
So, the first question that probably comes to mind is: What is Churchfolio?
When I first came up with the name combining Church + Portfolio. And even then, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do with it.
My initial idea was simple, to build a platform where churches could create a listing and have an online presence. But then, as it usually happens with side projects, I started dreaming bigger.
I thought, why not build a church management system? Something that could help churches manage different parts of their day-to-day work.
I told my best friend and co-creator, Jeromie, about the idea, and he loved it. We started thinking about it and I got excited about what it could become.
And then the fear kicked in.
Since the introduction of AI, I started seeing more and more church management systems being built for churches of all sizes. Big platforms, small platforms, new ideas everywhere.
I started thinking, Where do I fit into all of this?
And slowly, I lost interest.
I created so many versions and iterations of Churchfolio that I eventually lost sight of what I was actually trying to build. Something just didn’t feel right.
So I stopped.
For several days, I didn’t really know what to do with the project. I was stuck and had no clear direction.
Then one day, I went back to the beginning.
What if I just build the original idea?
A church listing platform.
That thought made sense to me again.
Especially where I come from in India, a large number of churches still don’t have their own websites. And while link-in-bio platforms are useful, I don’t feel they really fit the needs of a church.
A church is more than a collection of links.
So I started looking into whether something like this already existed. There are platforms doing parts of it, but I felt there was still an opportunity to build something specifically around churches. Also in the times where people travel, finding a church nearby should also be easy.
A combination of a church listing and a simple online presence, all in one place.
That became the idea behind Churchfolio.
I prayed about it, started working on it again, and this time I decided to stop overthinking it and just build. And now, here it is: churchfolio.com

Churchfolio is an all-in-one platform for churches.
For now, the first step is simple.
Create your church profile, list your church, and grab a unique username for your church.
It gives your church a simple place online where people can find and learn more about you.
And this is only the beginning.
There are more features I have planned for Churchfolio, and I’m looking forward to adding them over time.
Right now, creating a church profile is free. As the platform grows, I may introduce some premium features to help support the project and keep building it.
But for now, I just want to get Churchfolio into the hands of churches and see where it goes.
